Pebble Beach

Tee times where the Pacific meets the fairway — paired with rooms at The Lodge and dinner at Stillwater.

There is no golf course in America quite like the eighteenth at Pebble. Most clients have seen it on television. Almost no one is prepared for how it actually plays — the ocean to your right, the cypress to your left, the green tucked in tight against the lodge. We've designed dozens of trips here, and the version we send most often is not the one you'll find on the Pebble website.

The shape of the trip we build

Four nights, three properties on the resort, four rounds of golf. Pebble itself, of course. Spyglass Hill the day before, when fresh legs and fresh eyes serve you. Spanish Bay early on day three — the bagpiper at sunset is not a gimmick the second time you see it; it earns its place. And one quieter round, often Poppy Hills or The Hay if a non-golfer is along.

Between rounds: an afternoon at the spa for the partner who's not playing, dinner reservations at Stillwater (book the table by the window, ten weeks out), a morning at the Monterey Bay Aquarium when the kids have come along, a private wine tasting in Carmel Valley if the trip needs a day off.

Who it suits

Pebble works for buddies trips, for couples — one plays, one reads — and for milestone birthdays. It does not work well for tight budgets: this is the most expensive municipal-feel resort in the world. We are honest about that on the first call.

Why work with us on Pebble specifically

Tee times at Pebble are first-come, first-served for resort guests, and the booking window matters. We hold relationships at the resort that let us pre-arrange the rounds, the rooms, and the dinners as one package — usually at a partner rate that returns most of our planning fee to you in upgrades and amenities.

When to plan

Twelve months out is comfortable. Nine months is doable. Inside six months, the trip still happens — the rooms thin out, but the rounds can still be arranged through the right channels.
